In Nebraska, hydrogeology students find strong expertise in water resources research in our department and collaborating units. Nebraska is one of the national leaders in groundwater use for irrigation by volume and area, similarly to such states as California and Texas. Various courses in inter-departmental programs, instruments for subsurface investigation, drilling and direct push equipment, analytical laboratories, instrumented sites, and airborne remote sensing tools for characterization of water resources are available to our students. Hydrogeology specialization can satisfy any specific student interests, as reflected by diverse sources of funding below
