Experiential learning: Cara Burberry and students on the 2022 Walker Trip

The Walker Trip (GEOL 260) is a nine-day expedition across the western United States, aiming to expose freshmen and sophomores to rock formations not present in Nebraska. Or as faculty leader Cara Burberry describes it: "Spectacular geology."

Journeys in the field like these are part of experiential learning in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Check out highlights from this year's trip in the tweets below!

A couple of snaps of me on my beloved Great Nonconformity today. I’m teaching a field trip for students, endowed by a UNL alum. Also a snap of Balanced Rock and a little fault. pic.twitter.com/npx9uWhaSd
